I’m Shaun Yurtkuran, a criminal defense and personal injury attorney, Marine Corps veteran, and former prosecutor with more than two decades of experience in Mississippi courtrooms.
Experience & Education
I earned my law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law after serving as a Military Police Officer in the United States Marine Corps. I later spent nearly ten years as a Hinds County Assistant District Attorney and an Assistant Attorney General, giving me deep insight into how cases are built and how the system truly works.
Personal Life
Shaun grew up in Miami and moved to Mississippi in high school. He now lives in Belhaven with his Shih Tzu, Rey, who is completely convinced she pays the mortgage. When he is not in court, you will usually find him on the radio with his girlfriend and co-host, Lindsey, where the two somehow manage to host a show together despite agreeing on almost nothing political.
Shaun’s interests include politics, history, CrossFit, and snow skiing, and on most weekends you can catch him rucking through the military park in Vicksburg.
